Travel Insurance

Your upcoming trip is a significant investment which should be protected. For this reason, I strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance. Insurance covers three basic areas: trip cancellation, emergency medical coverage and emergency medical evacuation. Even if you already have medical insurance, you should be aware that most insurance plans in the United States do not provide coverage for individuals while they are travelling out of the country.

Cruise Planners offers Worldwide Travel Protection offered by Access America. Worldwide Travel Protection must be purchased before your final payment date and will:

  • Provide up to $50,000 for emergency medical coverage

  • Provide $1 million for emergency evacuation

  • Cover pre-existing conditions

  • Cover airline tickets purchased independently of the cruise line

If you choose to decline this valuable protection, you are assuming any financial loss associated with your travel arrangements.  Many people believe their credit card covers this type of cancellation insurance, most don't and none provide medical coverage.  Please be sure to check with your credit card company to be sure.
