Can I go on the cruise without participating in the photography workshops?
Yes, you can take advantage of our great rates and go on the cruise without participating in the photography seminars. This enables photographers to travel with family and friends.

Who can participate in the photography workshops?
Only those who have paid the enrollment fee will be allowed to participate. Seminar credentials will be given to participants and are required for admittance to all photography related events.

Is there an age restriction to participate in the photography workshops?
Participants must be 18 or older. Younger photographers will be admitted only when accompanied by an adult.

Can I participate in the photography workshops if I book my cruise through another agency?
No, participants must book with Cruise Planners of Orange.

Is travel insurance required?
Travel insurance is not required, but is highly recommended. Travel insurance does not cover the workshop fee. Refunds for workshop cancellation will be decided on an individual basis.

What are the cruise lines' cancellation policies?
Cancellation policies vary by cruise line. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity's cancellation policy for sailings of 6-9 days is as follows:

Travel insurance will cover the penalty amount, provided that cancellation is for a covered reason. Please see insurance information for details.

Do I need a passport?
Passengers are required to have a passport which is valid for at least six months following the cruise. Please see http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html for specific details. If you are a citizen of a country other than the United States, it is your responsibility to obtain any necessary visas for travel in the United States and Canada. Please contact your local embassies for more information.

Are gratuities included?
Gratuities are not included in the cost of the cruise.

Are there medical facilities onboard?
The ship has an infirmary and small medical staff. Please let us know if you have a medical condition which requires the attention of a doctor.

Do I need to bring my own photography equipment?
Each photographer should bring his/her own camera, lenses etc. Digital cameras are recommended.

Will Instructors teach me how to use my camera?
Participants should have a basic understanding of the controls and functions on their cameras.

Is there a list of recommended equipment to bring?
Each Photographic Cruises instructor may provide a list of recommended equipment depending on the type of workshop.

What kinds of activities will be included in the seminar fee?
Each workshop will be accompanied by a professional photographer/instructor. He/she will have a schedule of classes, discussing such things as exposure, creative content, Photoshop techniques, backing up your photos, as well as comments and critiques on the day's work. He/she will also accompany the group on shore excursions and offer instruction during the day's shoots.
